Cabin crew members from Pakistan International Airlines have been banned from a hotel

A hotel has reportedly banned any member of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), the national flag carrier for the country, from booking a room with them.

The airline has been accused of not dealing with cabin crew members who carry out inappropriate behaviour whilst staying at the hotel.

Whilst Pakistan Express Tribune, who reported the findings, has not named he hotel has not been named, they have reported the UK hotel authorities state that women have reportedly felt uncomfortable with many of the cabin crew staying there.

It follows complaints after many were asked for their number by the workers.

Female guests stated they felt “insecure” around many of the male members

The report from Pakistan’s Express Tribune found that female guests stated they felt “insecure” around many of the male members, after being “pestered” for their mobile number by the male crew members.

Until action has been taken, the hotel management will not rent rooms to the crew until the problem is addressed.

Express Online has contacted PIA for comment.

However, it isn’t the first problem that the airline has encountered this year.

Earlier this year, a PIA aircraft was found to have illegal drugs onboard, which British authorities intercepted at London Heathrow Airport.

It then confiscated all passports from the cabin crew members after finding the drugs hidden in the plane’s panels.

The airline has previously come under fire for allowing seven additional passengers onto a plane despite it being full earlier this year.

The carrier allowed a total of 416 passengers on the Boeing 777, despite the maximum allowance of 409 passengers.

The safety concerns it raised regarding air safety found that if an incident did happen, there would not be enough oxygen masks for the passengers.

They would also have caused additional congestion in the state of an evacuation.

The passengers were also reported to have been forced to stand for the entire flight.

However, spokesperson for PIA Danyal Gillani denied claims, starting the allegations were “exaggerated and baseless”.

He told AFP at the time: “It is not possible for anyone to travel like that in an aircraft, regardless of the duration of the flight.
