Kate Middleton, 36, has travelled abroad frequently in her role as the Duchess of Cambridge.
Some of her official visits with her husband Prince William, 36, have seen her visit Canada, Australia and India, representing the British Royal Family.
The newest member of the royal family, Meghan Markle, 37, has also travelled with her husband Prince Harry, 33, and broken a number of royal traditions along the way such as wearing the wrong coloured tights and wearing black at a public event.
Kate could impart some of her learnt tricks of travelling to Meghan that she has learnt from the Queen.
I just pop a couple of weights into the hemline of her dresses and coats and it makes them hang beautifully
When departing from a plane, winds can blow up the skirt of the Royal Family, so they often choose to have weights sewn into the skirt hem.
Dressmaker Mr Stewart Parvin who holds the royal warrant for his store Peter Jones has previously told the Mail Online the process for this.
He explained: “I just pop a couple of weights into the hemline of her dresses and coats and it makes them hang beautifully.”
The Duchess of Cambridge fell victim to the weather when travelling to Calgary in 2011 when a gust of wind blew up her skirt in front of the cameras.
It happened again in 2012 while in Australia, with pictures of her underwear being featured in a German newspaper.
Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle: The secret travel tip from the Royal Family
She could teach Meghan Markle this weighted trick, who has not yet fallen victim to the wind while leaving a plane.
The newest royal favours trousers or slim fitting skirts as opposed to Kate’s more loose style of dresses.
This has meant she can easily leave an airport with her dignity intact, as shown by her most recent trip to Dublin with Prince Harry.
While she has had her own wardrobe malfunction – she flashed her bra at a recent wedding, and almost tripped over her heels in a churchyard – she has managed to keep her poised style when it comes to her outfits.
With her first overseas tour taking place later this year of Australia and New Zealand, she may choose to learn from Kate and the Queen when it comes to weighing her skirts.

It isn’t the only thing that Meghan has learnt from Kate when it comes to travelling.
One way she imitates the Duchess of Cambridge is to wear outfits that are designed by the country or location she is visiting.
For example, when Meghan visited Wales, she wore black skinny jeans by Welsh brand Hieut Denim as well as a tartan Burberry coat in Scotland.
The newest royal has also changed her bag options when in public, switching from her large brown Everlane tote bag to smaller clutch bags.
Holding a clutch bag can make it less awkward when meeting people and not shaking hands.
